Savory Beef Cake

How we wished we could replace our mains with desserts EVERYDAY and not get fat because of the sugar! That's something dogs can have on a daily basis if their owners have plenty of time on hand. This cake has the protein, vitamins and minerals, and carbohydrates.... All in one!

It's slightly tedious because you have to mix the cake, blend the frostings, decorate everything and etc etc etc... but I assure you, your dogs will be delighted with the results and so do you!

Ingredients for cake
200g grounded beef
3 coarsely grinded celery sticks
1 sweet potato- steam and coarsely mashed
2 eggs- whites and yolk seperated
1/3 cup of plain flour
1 tbsp flaxseeds
1 tbsp butter
Handful of dried cranberries- soak in hot water until slightly puffed up

Ingredients for frosting
2 potatoes, mashed
1 cup pets milk
1 carrots, mashed

Steps for cake:
1. Beat egg whites until it forms stiff peaks. Meanwhile,
2. Mix beef, celery, sweet potato, egg yolk, flaxseeds. After it is well mixed,
3. Sieve in flour and mix again.
4. Fold in egg whites into the meat mixture. Try not to fold egg white too much.
5. Fold in butter.
6. You will need 2 baking pan. Grease both baking pan with a thin layer of butter
7. Fill it with 1 portion of cake mixture on each baking pan.
8. Oven should be preheated at 180C for at least 10mins before baking.
9. Bake cake for 30 mins.

Steps for frosting:
1. blend potato with milk. Add it more milk if the mash is too thick.
2. The end product should be gluey and flowy.
3. Do the same for the carrots.

After the cake has cooled down, spread the frosting between 2 cakes and all over the cake. BE CREATIVE WITH IT! =)

*Cake can be kept in the fridge for 2-3 days. Heat up before serving.
