Blueberry Meatballs with Spinach Cream

I started this blog just to share the recipes I've created and collected through the years. Sometimes sharing can be more fun! As we all know, there's no such thing as dog food and people food, only dog friendly food that we people eat.

So today I made meatballs with ingredients which is great for your dogs' health!

Do you know blueberries are great source of vitamin C and antioxidants? And Garlic helps prevent ticks? Yes!
This coconut oil I got from a particular pet store actually helps with their skin, digestion and immunity system. What about honey and cinnamon? It is known as a magic combo because of its anti-inflammatory properties and it helps dogs that are suffering from arthritis.

Doesn't the title already sound so yummy? Lets start.....

Ingredients for meatballs
250g minced pork
1 potato
2 tbsp blueberries
2 tsp minced garlic
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp manuka honey
2 tbsp of olive oil
Dashes of ground cinnamon

Ingredients for spinach cream
2 cups round spinach
3/4 cups pet's milk

Handful of cranberries (optional)

Steps for meatballs:
1. Steam potato. While waiting,
2. Mix the rest ingredients for meatball except olive oil in a mixing bowl and leave it in the fridge for 5 mins.
3. After the potato is done, mash it and mix it into the meatball mixture. Leave it in the fridge for another 5 mins.
4. Heat the pan and add in olive oil. Fry meatball until golden brown, set aside.

Steps for Spinach cream:
1. Steam spinach until cooked.
2. Blend cooked spinach and milk until it is well blended (~1min).
3. Heat the spinach cream in the pan with the leftover oil from frying the meatballs. Bring it to a boil.

Once everything is done, add the spinach cream to the meatballs and serve at room temperature.
